COME TO LISTEN. The Sandaga Jazz Band is the justly praised house band on Tuesday nights at Sandaga Eightthirteen, Dallas Observer's 2012 pick for Dallas' Best Jazz Club. Tuesday Nite Jazz is a curated music series offering live jazz, blues, and gospel on the second Tuesday evening of each month, when the historic sanctuary of St. Paul United Methodist Church, organized by recently freed slaves in 1873 at what is now 1816 Routh Street, becomes the premier listening room in the city.
Please join this event and join us for history in the making at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, when Sandaga comes to St. Paul UMC. Tuesday Nite Jazz at St. Paul UMC Dallas welcomes all who come to listen, free of charge. Family friendly.
After the show, put the kids to bed and follow the band back to Sandaga 813's Tuesday Night Jazz Jam to keep the jazz playing in a listening room with amenities for grown folks.
